Here’s a beautiful brand-new set of AGED Bonded Ivory grips for your Ruger New Model Vaquero and Anniversary New Model
Blackhawk
revolvers.
These are heavy, quality grips with the look of real aged ivory, highly polished to enhance the beauty of the grip.  These do not fit the New Model Blackhawks EXCEPT for the Anniversary Edition, which has an anniversary notation (inlaid with a gold color) and uses the smaller New Model Vaquero frame as well.  These do not fit any of the "birdshead" grip frames at all; if you have a Birdshead model, please see our other listings for grips.
These do NOT fit the regular "New Model Blackhawk" (non-50th Anniversary) guns; see our other listings for those.  These are stunning grips with beautiful, rich grain patterns on both
grip panels.  These are made in the U.S.A. as well.
These grips come with a replacement grip screw for these grips, blackened in color to complement the artificially aged synthetic grip.
These ONLY fit the NEW VAQUERO (with serial numbers beginning with 510-XXXXX)
and ONLY the "50th Anniversary Blackhawk" revolvers
(as well as the SA
SS New Vaquero)
with the standard frame - these do NOT fit the Bisley frame models (see our other listings for Bisley grips).
The grips are cut to allow for the internal lock that Ruger now builds into these guns; but they aren't drilled to allow external access to the lock, as most people don't want a hole in their grips.  If you are required by law or absolutely must have the lock accessible you must have it done or do it yourself, as I ship these without the hole (We really don't have the heart to ruin these stunning grips either).  Some of Ruger's revolvers have a locating pin that has "wandered" 1-3mm from spec, which may require fitting of the grip set; if your gun exhibits this please contact us for instructions.
Because of the rough-cast nature of some frames there may be some variation in the fit of any grips, wood or plastic.  Some minor fitting may be required, but we have personally installed these on both "New Vaquero" and "50th Anniversary Blackhawk" revolvers, and  did not need to do any fitting at all since these are so precisely made and fit so well, though Ruger's frames have sometimes moved the locating pin hole a bit.  If your gun has this please let us know and we'll walk you through a resolution of the problem if you do so BEFORE forcing or altering anything on the grips.

This is due to Ruger's changes to their frames over the years, and we are here to help our customers choose the right set of grips.  Not sure if these will work?  ASK FIRST!
The grips will really dress up your Ruger at an affordable price.  These grips are a synthetic material, and the grips are produced in the USA by craftsmen using modern equipment to allow these to be sold at a price that is affordable.
We have shown a sample grip set and you will receive ONE SET similar to those shown.  Since these are made of a synthetic material the shade will be similar from set to set, but
the "grain" of the synthetic ivory material will differ, just as it would with natural ivory.  The photos show the same grip set in different lighting conditions so you can see the appearance of the grips, since natural ivory aging varies in shade as well.
These are for either left- or right-handed shooters, as there is no distinct thumb rest on either side's grip panel.
This is a great way to improve the appearance and handling of your gun while adding the look of fine wood to your Ruger.  They complement blued or stainless guns equally well.
Again, these grips are ONLY for the guns listed in the first paragraph above, and do not fit other models.  Ask questions before you purchase if you are not sure which grips might be needed for your pistol, and we will help you.

pair of grips for the price shown in this listing.  We have shown a representative selection of the grips we have, and you will receive ONE SET similar to those shown.  We've shown photos with and without flash (the darker shades in the photos are closer to the actual colors).  Since the grips are made of a synthetic material they are quite similar in shade from one to the next. but the grain is purposefully designed to differ.
NOTE: These can be overtightened by the installer, which will result in damage to the grip, and a cautionary note is wrapped around the grips in the package to let you know to avoid using too much torque on the provided grip screw.  The caution also applies to impacting the grip against hard surfaces or forcing it on the gun rather than fitting it to your gun.  DO NOT FORCE THESE GRIPS ONTO YOUR GUN.
